Implants & restorative

A replacement tooth that behaves like the one you lost

  • A single missing tooth

One implant, one crown. The neighbouring teeth are left untouched — which is the main reason we prefer an implant to a conventional bridge.

Placement takes about an hour under local anaesthetic, and most people work the next day.

    • Local anaesthetic
    • 3–4 months total
    • No damage to neighbours
  • Several teeth missing

Two or three implants can carry a bridge spanning a longer gap, so you do not need one implant per tooth.

We plan the span in 3D first, so the bite loads evenly and the porcelain is not asked to do more than it can.

    • Implant-supported bridge
    • Fixed, not removable
    • 4–6 months
  • All teeth missing

Four to six implants can hold an entire arch — either fixed permanently, or as an overdenture that clips in and out for cleaning.

Both stop the jawbone shrinking, which a conventional denture cannot do.

    • Fixed or clip-in
    • Preserves jawbone
    • Staged over 6 months
  • Bone grafting & site preservation

Where a tooth has been gone a long time, the bone that held it has usually receded.

Grafting rebuilds that foundation — often at the same appointment as the extraction, which avoids a second procedure later.

    • Sinus lift
    • Socket preservation
    • Often same-day

  • What Are Dental Implants

How an implant works, start to finish

Four appointments, spread over a few months

  1. 01

    Consultation & scan

Examination, low-dose 3D scan and a written plan with the full cost of every option.

    Day one · 45 minutes

  2. 02

    Placement

The implant is placed through a surgical guide made from your scan. Local anaesthetic, or sedation if you prefer.

    Week 2–4 · 60 minutes

  3. 03

    Healing

The bone grows onto the implant. You wear a temporary tooth and we check in twice.

    3–4 months

  4. 04

    The crown

A porcelain crown is milled to match your neighbouring teeth and fitted. That is the last visit.
