Dermal Fillers and Anti-wrinkle injections

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity, allowing wrinkles and lines to form around our facial muscles. These will most commonly appear around the muscles we use the most, which include the eyes, forehead, and especially our mouths.

Dr Rooein  offers both anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers to complement his cosmetic dental procedures and give your skin a more vibrant and youthful appearance.

Anti-wrinkle injections

Wrinkle relaxers have recently been introduced into dentistry for their complementary therapeutic uses, as they can relieve clenching and grinding, thus protecting the teeth from excessive wear. They can also reduce the discomfort of the jaw joints from grinding.

Wrinkle relaxers contain proteins extracted from naturally occurring bacteria to relax your facial muscles. In addition to correcting some dental problems, Dr Tosar or Dr Rooein also incorporate them into their patients’ treatments to create a smoother, more rejuvenated appearance across the entire face. Wrinkle relaxers can correct:

• Lines around the mouth
• Gummy smiles
• Forehead lines
• Crow’s feet
• Frown lines
• Dimpled chins
• Bunny lines (on either side of the nose)
• Clenching and grinding of the teeth

Using very fine needles, Dr Rooein targets the specific facial muscles you want to relax in a short procedure with only minimal discomfort. Wrinkle relaxers are typically administered within 30 minutes, and they provide noticeable results for between three and four months.

Dermal Fillers

Like wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers can reduce wrinkles, and they can also add volume to your skin and lips. Dermal fillers are injectable gel made from a natural complex sugar, which is also found within our own natural skin cells.

Dermal Fillers can help  correct:

• Thin lips
• Poorly defined lips
• Vertical lip lines
• Nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the lips)
• Marionette lines (lines from the lips to the chin)
• Lack of cheek definition
• Lack of chin definition

Similar to the wrinkle relaxers, the Doctor injects dermal fillers just below the surface of your skin to instantly “fill in” or “plump up” parts of the face. The procedure is done within 30 minutes, and your supple, more youthful appearance typically lasts between three and six months.
